Equity Trading Once we share our investment ideas with our clients, our trading department is more than capable of executing any desired transaction. Barrington Research is actively involved in trading both listed and OTC equities on all major domestic exchanges. We execute transactions for our clients on both an agency and principal basis. Over the years, Barrington Research has gained the trust of the marketplace and has established an outstanding reputation for conscientiously pursuing and obtaining superior executions for our clients. Our staff of experienced professional traders, using the latest in trading technology, keeps Barrington Research well positioned to effectively trade domestic equity blocks of any size for any client. Our traders are particularly capable when it comes to executing transactions in the stock of our coverage companies. Their understanding of these companies on a fundamental and technical basis provide them with the trading insights to execute some of the most challenging trades. Functioning as sales traders, our trading desk can often cross trades with natural buyers and sellers to minimize market volatility associated with larger block transactions. Once the trade is executed, settlement can be seamlessly effectuated in light of the client's particular needs or preferences. All transactions are cleared through Bear Stearns Securities Corp. on a fully disclosed basis. Barrington Research is also a member of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC), which protects client accounts up to $500,000, of which $100,000 may be in cash. SIPC insurance coverage does not protect against market losses. For information on how to do business with Barrington Research, see our Institutional Equity Trading Instructions.
